NoHLA hosted a breakfast briefing featuring our Executive Director, Janet Varon, and special guest, Jorge L. Baron, Executive Director of Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. Jorge focused on the policy changes facing immigrants and highlighted a few local patient stories, and Janet followed with a discussion about the impact of these changes on health care access. There were great questions from the engaged audience. Missed it? We recorded short videos during the event that you can find on our Facebook page. Many thanks to Jorge for sharing his expertise and to our event sponsor, Pacific Hospital Preservation and Development Authority. Special thanks also to Macrina Bakery, Caffe Vita and Grand Central Bakery, The Essential Baking Company, Cupcake Royale (Madrona), Trader Joe’s (University District) and QFC (Harvard Market) for the amazing spread of breakfast fare, and to the NoHLA Board of Directors for their help!
