Mayra joined the Northwest Health Law Advocates (NoHLA) Board of Directors in July 2026. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Central Washington Disability Resources, where she has been part of the team since March 2016.
Mayra brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, board governance, community needs, and addressing barriers faced by people with disabilities. She identifies as a person with multiple disabilities and brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her advocacy.
As a resident of Kittitas County, Mayra has seen firsthand the gaps and barriers individuals with disabilities face in rural Washington, particularly when accessing healthcare, resources, and other essential services. She is committed to advancing accessibility, equity, and inclusion for underserved communities.
Mayra is also a proud single mother of two children. In her free time, she enjoys staying active and making memories with her children.
We're thrilled to have her join NoHLA's fabulous Board and look forward to all we'll accomplish together.
