We are thrilled to welcome Emily Brice as our Senior Attorney & Policy Advisor. We should say, we’re welcoming her back, as she was a NoHLA staff attorney from 2011-13. In the interim, Emily has gained a depth of experience and knowledge that will strengthen NoHLA’s advocacy efforts tremendously.
Emily says, “I’m so pleased to be returning to NoHLA! In the interim, I’ve served in government in two states, first as the Senior Health Policy Advisor to Washington State Insurance Commissioner Kreidler, and later as the Deputy Chief of Policy & Strategy for the Massachusetts Health Connector, a state-based Marketplace agency. My time in government has only deepened my appreciation for NoHLA’s work as a tenacious advocate, watchdog, and leader in encouraging affordable health care for all. I’m excited to get back to my roots and contribute to the effort.”
Emily began her career in clinic-based social services as the Chicago Site Director for Health Leads. She is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law and University of Chicago.
Emily joined us a week ago and has hit the ground running. Please give her a warm welcome.
