The vote for CHIP provided much needed relief from the uncertainty and anxiety faced by
nine million children, and their families. However, more than 25 million community health center patients, staff and providers need the same relief, as do more than 800,000 “Dreamers” and their families who have little assurance that a vote will happen to find a long-term solution for these immigrant children and young adults.
Please call your Members of Congress at 202-224-3121. Tell them that we cannot continue to pit one group of kids against another, or one vital program against another. Ask them to:
- Restore funding for community health centers
- Pass the DREAM Act to find a permanent solution for “Dreamers” that gives these young people the opportunity to continue contributing to our culture and economy.
