The Contraceptive Access Bill, HB 1234, passed the Legislature with overwhelming bipartisan support last week and is now on the Governor’s desk. The bill dramatically reduces barriers to birth control access by requiring health insurance plans to cover a 12-month supply of birth control at a time, allowing women to pick up a year’s worth of birth control in a single pharmacy visit.
